It’s that time of the year again, it’s time for our four legged celebrities of our canine world to test their metal in the biggest arena they will canter into all year.

Aside from the competitions, Crufts is also an excellent place to see and purchase new pet products. You will find many of the companies that help us stock our shop – Arden Grange, Burns, Fish4Dogs are a few of our stockists that will have stalls at Crufts.

So what does Crufts mean to a dog like myself?

I’m a cross breed so automatically I am ineligible to enter. You might think that I’d be a little miffed with this. Well I am slightly miffed yes but then I think I would just get bored with all that standing around! Dad also doesn’t like getting up in the morning too early – this is not so great considering that competitors have to get to the NEC very very early in the morning in preparation for the days activities. To be honest I’d prefer to stay in my bed too!

Oh, and as a part owner of a grooming studio, you would think that I don’t mind being groomed. Well, I can let you in to a little secret – I don’t particularly enjoy getting washed. I much prefer the odour cologne of fox poo.

Jilly (pictured below), a Petit Basset Griffin Vendeen won the top prize of Best in Show last year. Who will win this year?
